Over the last ten years Honeycrisp apples have become one of the shining stars of new apples. An extremely unique “crunching” apple combines with fantastic flavor for an apple that is sure to please. Honeycrisp was first crossed in 1960 by researchers at the University of Minnesota. The variety is a cross between the Macoun and Honeygold apples (Honeygold is a cross between Golden Delicious and Haralson).
